So.

We all know that schools take time to teach students about this [The Monitor - Local schools preserve culture with Cinco de Mayo celebrations] my question is… why? I don’t see a point and I hope it doesn’t take more than 25 minutes to explain. I really hope they didn’t spend a whole week or more putting together all kinds of crap.

One Person Kinda Got It Right

“Lino Garcia, professor emeritus of Spanish Literature at UTPA, said he’s noticed Cinco de Mayo is not celebrated as widely in the Valley as it is in other parts of the country, largely because many local residents are native to the area.”

It kinda seems like some might want to change that.
